Apr 27, 1929 — May 25, 2022
Attica
Attica - Juanita Caroline (Hetrick) Brier, 93, lifelong resident of Warren County, passed away in Autumn Trace in Attica, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 12:48 a.m.
Juanita was one of eight children, born at home near Judyville in Warren County, Indiana on April 27, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Freeman and Lena Marie (Shupp) Hetrick. She was a 1947 graduate of Williamsport High School.
During her life Juanita worked at Central National Bank in Attica and later for Lafayette National Bank, before becoming Warren County Recorder from 1969 - 1977. She then worked for the Farmers & Merchant Bank until her retirement. During this time she was a school bus driver for the Metropolitan School District of Warren County, serving the school for many years.
Juanita was a people person and enjoyed her time spent visiting with friends and family. She and her husband were inseparable and where you saw one you saw the other. People remember them by the way they wore matching outfits when they were together. She enjoyed music and had that uncanny ability to play the piano by ear. She also sang a lot in her younger years. She was a long time member of the Hickman Heights Christian Church. She dearly loved and adored her four sons, nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
On June 12, 1947, Juanita married Wilmer Vern Brier Jr. in Attica. Wilmer preceded her in death on December 27, 2013.
Juanita leaves behind her four sons, David F. (Jacki) Brier, Steven V. (Rozanna) Brier and John M. (Diana) Brier, all of Attica; Scott D. (Jae Ann) Brier, Pine Village; nine grandchildren, Shane Brier, Sean Brier, Jason (Hillary) Brier, Heather (Daniel) Roudebush, Mark Brier, Brandon (Chelsey) Brier, Andrew (Shey) Brier, Collin (Kayla) Brier and Kayla (Matt) Taylor; sixteen great-grandchildren, Easton, Sloan, Evynn, Kaylin, Warren, Molly, Mason, Thomas, Sydney, Lauren, Kelsi, Kenton, Austin, Hunter, Addison and Isaac. Juanita was preceded in death by her three sisters, Evangeline Taflinger, Edith Snyder and Eunice Robertson along with her four brothers, Elmer, Elwood "Muggs", Emerson and John Hetrick along with two infant siblings.
