Williamsport - Judith Ann (Lyon) Elmore, 79, Williamsport, passed away in the Franciscan Health East Hospital, Lafayette, on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 4:16 p.m.
Judy, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Freeland Park, Indiana on July 30, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Bert and Rose A. (Parks) Lyon. She was raised in Freeland Park and graduated from Freeland Park High School. She received an associates degree from Indiana Business College. She has resided in the Carbondale area of Warren County since 1966.
Judy worked for 30 years at Seeger Memorial High School until her retirement.
Judy was a member of the Wabash Valley Bible Baptist Church in Attica and a former member of the Attica Chapter # 125 Order of the Eastern Star.
Judy was first married to Clement Denoit Jones. He preceded her in death on September 12, 1970. She later married Don Elmore on November 8, 1972 in the Hickman Heights Church in Williamsport. Don preceded her in death on February 9, 2020.
She leaves behind a son, Tony (Sharon) Jones, Sebring, FL; two daughters, Connie (Jack Oliver) Wilson, Attica and Debra (Danny) Skwarczek, Orland Park, IL; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Mary Nell) Lyon, Sparta, TN along with her pet dog, Jack. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Lyon and two sisters, Connie Lyon and Isabell Rhanor along with two grandsons, Troy Jones and Bryce Hoover.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Friday, January 8th, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 9th at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. All attendees at the funeral home will be required to wear face masks and keep social distancing from the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wabash Valley Bible Baptist Church, 2320 E. Highway U.S. 41, Attica, IN 47918
