     Decatur, IL - Judith Lucille (Jones) Hackney, 87, formerly of Decatur, IL and had been residing in Attica, IN, passed away in the Cumberland Pointe Health Campus, West Lafayette, Indiana on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 9:35 p.m.
     Judith was born in Decatur, Illinois on June 25, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Winifred (Sowers) Jones. Judith was raised in Decatur, graduating from Warrensburg-Latham High School in 1957. She has lived most of her adult life in Decatur, later moving to Attica in 2002. She has resided in Cumberland Pointe for the past three years. While living in Decatur, Judith worked as a clerk in the family business, called Jones Meat Market in Wyckles Corner, IL. Judith had been attending the Wabash Valley Bible Baptist Church in Attica. She enjoyed crafting and wreath making. She adored her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On December 22, 1963, Judith married Ivan Edward Hackney in North Planes, Oregon. She leaves behind he husband, Ivan of soon-to-be 63 years along with three children, Tom (Bev) Hackney and George (Tami) Hackney, both of Decatur, IL; Cindy (Randy) Revis, Attica, IN; 7 grandchildren, Tim Hackney, Tara (Beth) Hackney, Shayne Hackney, Erin Hackney, Lewis Hackney, Misty (Baxley) Hamilton and Dallas Caudill;13 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Jones, Wyckles, IL. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Hackney; two brothers, Robert Jones and Gene (Jean) Jones; a sister, Phyllis (Harley) Morgan. Judith will be laid to rest in the Macon County Memorial Park in Decatur, IL and a Celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, September 13th, from 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. at 4461 N. 825 E., Attica, IN.
