Attica - Julia "Judy" Etta (Krout) Dotson, 96, of Attica, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 4:10 a.m. with family by her side.
Judy, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on February 4, 1928.  She was the daughter of the late Ivan A. and Nora (Stevens) Krout.  Judy was raised and educated in Veedersburg, later living in Hillsboro, before moving to Attica in 1946.
Judy formerly worked at Radio Material Corp.  and the P.N. Hirsch Store in Attica.  Most people remember Judy as a sale representative for Avon.  Judy enjoyed working in her garden and entertaining her grandchildren.  Her greatest enjoyment was being with her family.
Judy married Merle C. Dotson on July 26, 1946 in Attica by Rev. Everett White.  Merle preceded her in death on September 7, 1991.
Judy leaves behind her three children, Glenda McDaniel; Rhonda Fletcher and Randy (Debbie) Dotson, all of Attica; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by thirteen brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Tuesday, July 23rd, from 12:00 p.m. until the service time at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica Community Foundation.
