Attica - June Ann (Crowder) Pycke, 84, Attica, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 10:27 a.m. in the Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, as a result of injuries sustained from an automobile accident on June 4th in Warren County, Indiana.
June was born in Attica, Indiana on June 24, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Virgil and Lorrine (Timmons) Crowder. June was raised in Attica, attending Attica High School. She later moved to Owensboro, KY and lived there for 22 years before moving back to Attica in 1980.
June formerly worked as a cook at Cary Quadrangle and Shreve Residence Hall at Purdue University for 18 years.
June was a member of the Attica Free Methodist Church. She was an active worker for the United Methodist Church Thrift Store. June enjoyed dancing and listening to her favorite singers, Conway Twitty and Elvis Presley.
June married Marvin Dean Pycke on July 27, 1980 in Crawfordsville, IN. Marvin preceded her in death on June 4, 2022.
June leaves behind her son, James (Beth) Stovall, Henderson, KY; a step son, Jeff (Sara) Pycke, Attica and a step daughter, Lisa (Rusty) Kirby, Crawfordsville; two grandchildren, Quinton Stovall and Krystle Shock; nine step grandchildren, Dillon Deel, Devin Deel, Nick Kirby, Katie Kirby, Chris Kirby, Travis Kirby, Joey Pycke, Rosie Pycke and Eli Merriman; two great-grandchildren; Ben Shock and Dakota Roberts; five step-great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild, Trevor Roberts; a special niece, Kendra (Bob) Ramsey, North Judson, IN. June was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Sprouls and a daughter, Linda Sue Sprouls; five brothers, Larry, Bob, Chuck, Bill and Donald Crowder along with a two sisters, Thelma Dillman and Rose Mary Smith.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Wednesday, June 15th from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Badgley officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
Memorial contributions may be made in June's memory to Paws 'n Claws or the Attica Free Methodist Church.
