Lafayette - Karen Sue (Mason) Lucas Raiche, 77, Lafayette and formerly of Attica, passed away in the Franciscan Health East Hospital, Lafayette on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 1:53 a.m.
Karen was born in Williamsport, Indiana on April 1, 1946.  She was the daughter of the late James Sumner and Dorothy Ellen (Beaver) Mason.  She was raised and educated in Attica, later moving to Indianapolis.  She has resided in Lafayette for the past 15 years.
Karen was a stay-at-home mother, helping in raising a family.
Karen enjoyed crafting and doing word search puzzles.  She also enjoyed shopping for crafts.
Karen was first married on August 14, 1965 in Attica to David Lucas.
She later married Ray Raiche.
Karen leaves behind three daughters, Tina Lucas, West Lebanon; Tonya Lucas, Lafayette and Dodie Smith, Attica; a son, David (Sheri) Lucas, Indianapolis; a sister, Rita Green, Indianapolis; three sister-in-laws, Jean Mason, Zionsville; Judy Mason, Tennessee and Geneva Mason, Attica; nine grandchildren and a special granddaughter, Kelsey Harrington, Michigan; ten great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Suella "Susie" Anderson; a granddaughter, Heather Smith;  four brothers, Russell Mason, Jim Mason, Ed Mason and Jerry Mason and a sister, Ruth Johnson.
As per Karen's request cremation services will be accorded her with a memorial gathering held at Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Monday, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.  Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Maus Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
