Karen Sue (Wilkie) Stafford, 70, formerly of Attica and had been residing in Indianapolis, passed away in the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital, Indianapolis on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 1:45 p.m.
Karen was born in Plainfield, Indiana on September 28, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Loran A. and Olive Maxine (Wood) Wilkie. Karen was raised in West Lebanon and attended Williamsport High School.
Karen formerly managed the Homestretch Restaurant in Attica and was a homemaker to her family.
Karen enjoyed shopping for bargains at the local thrift stores and also enjoyed crafts, knitting and crocheting.
Karen was formerly married to Thomas C. Stafford. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2005.
Karen leaves behind her three sons, David E. Stafford, Attica; William (Vanessa) Stafford, Attica and Noah Stafford, Lafayette; a sister, Phyllis (David) Stinson, Danville, IN; a granddaughter, Abigail Stafford, Attica; her pet Pekinese dog, Effie May. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Stanley Wilkie and Loran Wilkie Jr.
As per Karen's request, cremation services were accorded her with no formal services planned. Memorial contributions in Karen's memory may be directed to Paws 'n Claws Animal Shelter in Attica.
