Cayuga - Kenneth Robert "Kenny Bob" "K.B." Wethington, 77, of Cayuga and long time resident of Attica, passed away at his home in Cayuga on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 9:59 a.m.
Kenny Bob was born in Williamsport, Indiana on December 14, 1942. He was the son of the late Robert "Sam" Lee Wethington and Florence Evelyn (Harper) Poet. He was raised and educated in Attica.
In 1961 Kenny entered the U.S. Army and served in Germany at the start of Vietnam. Following his service he returned to Attica and worked at Harrison Steel Castings Company as a "Burner" in the Cleaning Room.
He enjoyed shooting pool and bowling for a hobby.
He was formerly married to Sandra Beavers.
He leaves behind two children, Bill Wethington, Cayuga and Tracy L. Wethington, Lafayette; a sister, Connie Wethington, Port Richey, FL and a brother, Frank Wethington, Attica; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Robert Samuel Wethington and a daughter, Shawn Marie Mitton.
A memorial gravesite service with military honors will be held in Independence Cemetery, Independence, on Friday, October 30th, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dan Jordan officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
