Hillsboro - Kenneth "Kenny" Eugene Kincaid, 84, Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 20, 2023 in the Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville.
Kenny was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on December 15, 1938. He was the son of the late Marion and Helen Irene (Grenard) Kincaid. He was raised in the Crawfordsville area, graduating from New Market High School in 1956. He has resided in Hillsboro for the past 45 years.
Kenny was a 50 plus year member of the Carpenter's Union Local of Terre Haute.
Kenny had served in the Indiana National Guards. He was attending the Friendly Grove Baptist Church in Rosedale, IN. Kenny had a servant's heart and was affiliated with the Men & Women of Action, a mission organization located in Cleveland, OH. He worked on several mission trips throughout the United States and Mexico volunteering his time and God given talents. If you knew Kenny you knew his favorite saying was "One day at a time"
On December 3, 1977, Kenny married LaVila "Vi" (Bryant) Fairchild at home in Hillsboro, IN.
Kenny leaves behind his wife, Vi of nearly 46 years along with two daughters, Nancy Harmon and Beth (Jim) Swift, both of Crawfordsville; a son, Daniel (Karla) Kincaid, Alamo; two step sons, Roger (Pam) Fairchild, Browsburg and Greg (Connie) Fairchild, Jamestown; a step daughter, Jill Fruits, Veedersburg; a brother, Donald (Rose Anna) Kincaid, Crawfordsville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step son, Randy Fairchild and three brothers, John, David and Greg Kincaid.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro on Wednesday, August 23rd from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with Don Donovan speaking about Men & Women of Action. A gravesite service will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown, IN at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Perry Mager officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Department.
