Attica - Lance Whorrall, 82, Attica, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Attica on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 6:55 a.m.
Lance was born in Danville, IL on October 26, 1939. He was the son of the late Miles and Louise (Lappin) Whorrall. Lance was raised in Danville and attended Danville High School. He later served both in the U.S. Navy and later in the U.S. Army, being honorably discharged from both branches of the service.
Lance formerly worked with his brothers, Wayne and Larry Whorrall installing carpet.
In his pastime he enjoyed his family and especially chasing after the grand kids and great-grand kids.
On April 6, 1969, Lance married Paulette Mae Read in Vancouver, Washington.
Lance leaves behind his wife of 53 years along with four children, Lance (Christine) Whorrall, Williamsport; Terry (Sadie) (Whorrall) Doan, Danville, IL; Sherry Carter, Danville, IL and Troy Daniels, Danville, IL; a sister, Teresa (Charles) Clapp, Danville, IL; fourteen grandchildren, Lance, Michael, Laddie, Miles, Marianne and Grace Whorrall; Jessica Kinniard, Terry, Ryan, Brett Doan, Alishia and Kevin DeBord; Jerry Fugate and Ashley Carter; sixteen great-grandchildren, Lance, Miley, Aubriella, Luca, Brian, Brandon, Eric, Destine, Kayla, Alyea, Brian, Tinley, Xavier, Nevaeh, Gabe, Harper and Weston. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Larry, Wayne, Miles and Jim Whorrall; two sisters, Betty Reffett and Arlene Poland; a granddaughter, Tiffany Carter along with a great-grandson, Devyn Andrew.
The family has chosen direct cremation services with no public service at this time.
