Attica - Linda Sue (Karlson) Wood Bennett, 74, Attica, passed away at her home on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 1:22 p.m. with family by her side.
Linda was born in Williamsport, Indiana on April 22, 1949.  She was the daughter of the late Arvel "Swede" and Elizabeth "Betty" Marie (Young) Karlson.  She was a life resident of Attica and attended Attica High School.
Linda worked at Attica County Market for 10 years and then moved on to Woodland Manor Nursing Center in Attica in the dietary department.
Linda had attended the Attica Free Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking and reading.
Linda first married Rancel Wood on May 1, 1965.  He preceded her in death on August 24, 1980.  She later married Roger Bennett on November 30, 1987.  Roger preceded her in death on July 6, 2023.
Linda leaves behind two daughters, Barbara (Robin Larson) Wood, Williamsport and Tina Wood, Crawfordsville; two sisters, Ruth (Marvin) Furr, Attica and Roxie Robertson, Rensselaer, IN; eleven grandchildren, Ryan Wood, Justin Walters, Ashley Gustus, Heather Ziegler, Anthony Wood, Josh Groleau, Kayla (Doolin) Ward, Chelsea Sarringer, Tori Hall, Zachary (Kristin) Wood and Brandon Wood; twenty-six great-grandchildren and fifteen nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Wood, on March 3, 2020 and Rodney Wood,  on February 25, 2002.  She was also preceded in death by seven sisters, Jean Million, Mary Godby, Betty Murray, Bernice Karlson,  Janice Hamblin, Beverly Karlson and Nancy Karlson; one brother, Jerry Karlson.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, January 25th, from noon until the service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Joshua Barnett officiating.  Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
