Attica - Loretta M. (Lewis) Thomas, 69, Attica, passed away at her home, with her family at her side, on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 8:39 a.m.
Loretta was born in Danville, Illinois on May 14, 1951. She was the daughter of the Benjamin Lewis and Susie (Lewis) Lewis. Loretta attended school at Fountain Central High School. She has lived for several years in Williamsport, more recently moving to Attica.
Loretta excelled at being a wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of the Wabash Valley Bible Baptist Church near Attica.
On August 30, 1970, Loretta married Michael "Chick" Thomas in Attica.
She leaves behind her husband, Michael of 50 years along with a daughter, Lisa Priest, Bellaire, MI; three granddaughters, Taylor Priest, McKenzie Priest and Shellbie (fiancé-David Prevo) Priest, all of Bellaire, MI; a grandson, Michael Priest, Interlochen, MI; two sisters, Melba (Cliff) Moore and Carolyn Summers, both of Veedersburg; a brother, Jimmy Lewis, Kingman; mother-in-law, Margie Etchison, Attica; Brothers-in-law, Fred (Betsy) Kerst, Veedersburg and Rick (Jeanie) Thomas, Danville, IL; six great-grandchildren, Annaliese, Isabella, Brayton, Adaline, David and Hudson; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Kenneth Thomas Priest and a still birth; three great-grandchildren, a sister, Beverly Matteucci Reed; two brothers, Loren and Jerry Lewis along with her parents.
A gravesite service will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica, on Friday, January 8th, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David Adams officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paws 'n Claws Animal Shelter or the Wabash Valley Bible Baptist Church.
