Attica - Lula M. (Conrad) Timberlake, 92, formerly of Attica and had been residing in the home of her daughter, Lori Long in Greenwood, IN, passed away in her daughter's home with family by her side on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 4:27 a.m.
Lula was born in Cayuga, Indiana on March 14, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Elmer A. and Verdie M. (Taylor) Conrad. She was raised in Eugene and graduated from Cayuga High School. She has resided in Attica for over 60 years.
Lula was a stay-at-home mother, raising her children. She later worked at Coin Acceptors in West Point. Later for General Foods in Lafayette, where she retired in 1989. Following her retirement she worked at Wolf's Candy Store for 14 years, retiring in 2010.
She was a member of the Attica Christian Church since 1966.She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and spending time working in her garden.
On July 23, 1954 Lula married James Everett Timberlake in Lodi, Indiana. James preceded her in death on December 15, 1987.
Lula leaves behind three children, James W. Timberlake, Attica; Lori A. (Dean) Long, Greenwood; Thomas R. (Christine) Timberlake, Indianapolis; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, David Conrad, Clinton, IN. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheryl L. Carte; a granddaughter; 4 sisters and two brothers.
As per Lula's request, cremation services were accorded her and a private family memorial gravesite service will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica Christian Church.
