Lafayette - Marcelyn K. (Baumgardt) Stonebraker, 75, of Lafayette, passed away at the home of her daughter in Attica, surrounded by her family, on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 9:15 a.m.
Marcelyn was born in Home Hospital, Lafayette, Indiana on August 28, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Mary (Risk) Baumgardt. Marcelyn was a life resident of Lafayette, graduating from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1967.
Marcelyn formerly worked as a home healthcare aide through Home Hospital in Lafayette.
Marcelyn had formerly attended the Assembly of God Church in Lafayette. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 11 of Lafayette. She enjoyed fishing and was an animal lover.
In 1982 Marcelyn married Thomas Dale Stonebraker in Lafayette, IN. Tom preceded her in death on January 12, 1994.
Marcelyn leaves behind her beloved daughter, Julia (Michael) Ross, Star City, AR; four grandchildren, Mariah (Mason) Wilson, Attica; Jared Fonacier, Newtown, IN; Austin (Beverly) Ross, Attica and Lilly Ross, Star City, AR; two great-grandchildren, Mira and Maxton Wilson; a special niece, Deborah (Greg) Holman, Waynetown, IN; her beloved cat, Fluffy; several great nieces and great nephews; two cousins, Janice Jones, Lafayette and Judy (John) Reynolds, Broken Arrow, OK.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Wray and a brother, Herbert Baumgardt Jr.
As per Marcelyn's request, cremation services were accorded her with a gravesite service held at a later date in Lafayette.
