Linden - Margaret "Margie" Christine (Buck) Rennick, 74, formerly of Independence and more recently of Linden, passed away in Rosewalk Village in Lafayette on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 1:55 a.m. following a lengthy illness.
Margie, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Williamsport, Indiana on February 14, 1950.  She was the daughter of the late George Gerald and Viola Bernice (Taylor) Buck.  She was raised in Independence and graduated from Pine Village High School in 1969.  She later received her dietary management degree from IVY Tech in Lafayette.
Margie was a dietician for Woodland Manor Nursing Center in Attica; She then transferred to Westminster Village in West Lafayette and later to Rosewalk Village in Lafayette.  She then went to Kinder Care childcare in Lafayette before retiring from dietetics.  She and her husband started the Four Corners Pizzeria in Lafayette before retiring.
Margie was a former member of the River Spring Church in Independence and more currently attending the United Methodist Church in Romney.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 52 of Attica.  Margie always enjoyed the traditional baking of Christmas cookies every year.
On December 20, 1969, Margie married Rickey Allen Rennick in the Independence Church.
Margie leaves behind her husband, Rickey of 55 years along with four children, Matthew (Valerie) Rennick, Shadeland, IN; Lesley (Dan) Martin, Independence; Tonya (Joe) Collison, Attica and Becky (Paul) Harding, Hillsboro; eleven grandchildren, Matthew Rennick, Madison Rennick, Joshua Eakley, Jonathan Eakley, Sandra Cox, Heather (Bowen)  Campbell, Joseph (Mariah) Collison, Tyler Collison, Cameron (Taylor) Collison, Gabby (Josh) Hensley and Sam (Kenzie) Harding; seven great-grandchildren, Zachariah, Cayden, Amora, Willow, Elaine, Carter, Paxtyn, Emma, Ridge and Ryder along with an great-grandson expecting to be born in January of 2025; a brother, George Alan Buck, Lafayette and a sister, Shelia (Donald) Reitz, Independence.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia "Cindy" Munson and a brother, Anthony "Tony" Lee Buck
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Friday, November 8th from 5:00 p.m. until the celebration of life service at 8:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
