Williamsport - Marilyn Sue (Horath) Moore, 61, Williamsport, passed away at her home, with her family at her side, on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11:24 a.m.
Marilyn was born on December 3, 1962 in Danville, Illinois. She was the daughter of the late Charles Arthur and Clara Lucille (Strater) Horath. She was raised in the Tab area and attended Benton Central High School. She has lived in rural Warren County near Judyville for the last several years.
Marilyn formerly worked at Autumn Trace in Attica from 2019-2023. She began as a cook, later as a activities director and then served as Executive Director. After leaving Autumn Trace she became a bus driver for the Metropolitan School District until her health declined. She also had worked as a home healthcare provider.
Marilyn was an active member of the Judyville Church. She enjoyed fishing and watching her birds. She loved and cherished her family and adored her grandchildren.
Marilyn was first married to Terry Waling and later married James "Moe" Moore.
Marilyn leaves behind her four children, Joshua (Charlotte) Waling, Williamsport; Justin (Leah) Waling, Williamsport; Travis (Ashlee) Waling, Veedersburg and Amanda (Kyle) Greiwe, Avon, IN; eight grandchildren, Cody Waling, Corbin Waling, Hannah Waling, Austin Waling, Cole Waling, Taylor Waling, Ava Greiwe and Ellie Greiwe; two brothers, Fred Horath, Attica and Bud (Merita) Horath, Williamsport; five sisters, Cathy (Jamie) Bogdas, Sarasota, FL; Janet Richter, Tilton, IL; Sharon (Jack) Taylor, Wingate; Linda Searcy, Attica and Joyce Compton, Danville, IL. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Black, Norma Easter and Pat Richter.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Friday, January 26th, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 27th, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brenda McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery, near Ambia.
