Attica - Marilyn Lavonne (Brown) White, 84, formerly of Attica and had been residing in the Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center, passed away in the nursing center on Wednesday, July 26m 2023 at 2:12 p.m.
Marilyn was born on May 19, 1939 in Fountain County, Indiana.  She was the daughter of the late Glenn Edward and Mildred (Swindler) Brown.  She was raised in Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1957.  She later graduated from Ivy Technical Institute in Lafayette with a degree in nursing.  Marilyn worked as a LPN in the Williamsport Nursing Center and later at Williamsburg Healthcare in Crawfordsville.
Marilyn enjoyed knitting and reading.
Marilyn was formerly married to James Leonard White and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2011.
Marilyn leaves behind a son, James Richard (Donna) White, Attica; two daughters, Ruth Ann White and Penny Lavonne White-Terhune, both of Williamsport; a sister, Rebecca (Paul) Hilgenberg, Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Katherine Termeni, Nashville, TN and Steven (Alyssa) Terhune, Williamsport.  Marilyn was preceded in death by three sisters, Carol Saylor, Patricia Matthews and Nancy Brown along with a brother, Russell Brown.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Sunday, July 30th, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.  A private gravesite service will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica, on Monday, July 31st with Chaplain Jeff Stedge officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Springs Shelter in Attica.
