Attica - Marjorie A. (Asbury) Nicholson, 97, Attica, passed away in the Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 2:19 p.m.
Marjorie was born in Fountain County, Indiana on September 20, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Carrel and Maezy (Stokes) Asbury. She was raised and educated in Fountain County and later moved to Indianapolis where she met her future husband Charles L. Nicholson.
Charles and Marjorie were wed in Indianapolis. Charles preceded Marjorie in death on April 3, 2011.
While living in Indianapolis Marjorie worked at Western Electric. She later moved to Brownsburg and lived for several years. In the early 80's Marjorie relocated back to Fountain County with her husband and they resided in rural Veedersburg until Charles passing. After returning to Fountain County Marjorie worked with Community Action assisting families in their homes.  She then moved to Attica and more recently had been residing in Autumn Trace Retirement Center in Attica.
Marjorie leaves behind her son, James O. (Julie) Nicholson, Brownsburg; three grandchildren, Jeff Nicholson, Texas; Trudy (Jake) Barker, California and Jody Nicholson, Brownsburg, IN; five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenny F. Nicholson and a brother, Dean Asbury.
A memorial service for Marjorie will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, January 28th, at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain Jeff Stedge officiating.
