Attica - Martha Elizabeth (Lefton) Foster, 93, Attica, passed away in her home on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 12:17 p.m.
Martha was born at home in Attica, Indiana on February 13, 1933.  She was the daughter of the late Sherman L. and Carmen Gertrude (Pattengale) Lefton.  Martha was a life resident of Attica, and attended Attica High School.  She was a stay-at-home mother, helping to raise her family.
On March 28, 1953, Martha married Gordon Raymond Foster Sr. in Williamsport, Indiana.  Gordon preceded her in death on August 13, 2024.
Martha enjoyed fishing and camping.  She helped her husband manage the Charlarose Campground near Hillsboro from 1989-1994.  Martha was a member of the Attica Christian Church and loved her church family and Bible Study.  She enjoyed watching and feeding the deer in her back yard.
She leaves behind two children, Donald Eugene (Vicki) Foster, Williamsport and Connie Sue (Brent) Sichts, Attica; a daughter-in-law, Terri Foster, Naples, FL; a brother, Charles "Chuck" (Susie) Lefton, Veedersburg and a sister, Linda (Charles) Borgel, Louisville, KY; eleven grandchildren, Ami Lynn (Dustin) McDaniel, Brittani Renee (Dennis) Quesada; Devin Eugene (Brianna) Foster, Jeremiah (Heather) Neef; Zachary Dean (Kandi) Neef, Cody (Joanna) Sichts, Casie (Clint) Farley, Brian  Haddock, Christopher Haddock, Kim (Rich) Swann, Marc (Alison) Werner; thirty-two great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren and a fifth on the way.  She was preceded in death by a son, Gordon Raymond Foster, Jr.  She was preceded in death by three brothers, Sherman "Bud" Lefton, Thomas Lefton and Paul "Pat" Lefton; three sisters, Violet Simmons, Lenora "Flea" Walker and Betty Brenner.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica on Friday, May 8th from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Hunter Chadwell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica Christian Church.
