Pine Village - Martin "Pete" Lee Rosa, 78, Pine Village, passed away in his home, with his wife by his side, on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 12:42 a.m. following a lingering illness.
Pete, as he was known to family and friends, was born in Tippecanoe County, Indiana on May 31, 1947.  He was the son of the late George Virgil and Melissa Mildred (Jennings) Rosa.  At the age of 13, Pete moved to Templeton in Benton County.  In 1965 he graduated from Oxford High School.  After graduation, Pete entered the U.S. Air Force and served during Vietnam.  After his honorable discharge, Pete moved back to Templeton and began working at Purdue University in the maintenance department.  He worked for over 20 years at Purdue, retiring in 2003.
Pete's favorite past time was fishing.
On December 5, 1975, Pete married Sophia M. Bollock in Williamsport, IN.  He leaves behind his wife, Sophia of 50 years along with two step sons, Lenny (Denise) Biggs, Fortson, GA and Mike (Michelle) Biggs, West Lafayette; a grandson, Tyler (Gaby) Biggs; his sister-in-law, Cookie Rosa, Lafayette.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Rosa.
A gravesite service will be held at the Pine Village Cemetery, Pine Village, IN on Wednesday, April 8th at 1:00 p.m.
