Attica - Marvin Dean Pycke, 85, Attica, passed away of a result of a traffic accident at the intersection of State Roads 63 and 28 near West Lebanon on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 10:11 a.m.
Marvin was born in Attica, Indiana on December 8, 1936. He was the son of the late Harry and June (Cunningham) Pycke. He was a life resident of Attica and graduated from Attica High School in 1954.
Following graduation, Marvin enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served until his honorable discharge in 1957.
Marvin worked in the maintenance department of C & D Batteries for over 30 years until his retirement.
Marvin was a life member of the VFW Post # 3318 of Attica; member of the American Legion # 52 of Attica. He also had attended the Attica Free Methodist Church.
Marvin was formerly married to Edna DeZarn. She preceded him in death. Marvin married June Ann Crowder on July 27, 1980 in Crawfordsville.
He leaves behind his wife, June of 42 years along with a son, Jeff (Sara) Pycke, Attica and a daughter, Lisa (Rusty) Kirby, Crawfordsville; a step son, James (Beth) Stovall, Henderson, KY; nine grandchildren, Dillon Deel, Devin Deel, Nick Kirby, Katie Kirby, Chris Kirby, Travis Kirby, Joey Pycke, Rosie Pycke and Eli Merriman; two step grandchildren, Quinton Stovall and Krystle Schock; five great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren and one step great great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two step children, Dennis and Linda Sue Sprouls.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, June 9th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Badgley officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post # 52 of Attica.
