Pine Village - Mary Ethel (Davenport) Calhoon, 91, formerly of Lafayette and had been residing in Pine Village, passed away in the Williamsport Health and Rehabilitation Center, Williamsport, on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 1:15 a.m.
Mary was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas on February 9, 1934.  She was the daughter of the late John Allen and Lydia Ercel (McKee) Davenport.  Mary lived in Lafayette for 70 years, moving to Pine Village in 2015.  Mary worked as a LPN in Home Hospital, Lafayette for several years until her retirement.  Following her retirement, Mary worked as a LPH in various nursing homes in Lafayette.  Later Mary worked in home health care until her permanent retirement.
Mary was a member of the White Horse Christian Center in West Lafayette.
Mary was married to Thomas Carr Calhoon in Lafayette.  Tom preceded her in death in 1986.
Mary leaves behind a daughter, Carla Hardesty, Pine Village; a son, Michael D. (Deb) Calhoon, Lafayette; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her, husband, Tom; parents; a son, James Cecil Calhoon; two brothers, Cecil and James D. Davenport.
Friends may call at the Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Chapel of Faith, West Lafayette, on Saturday, May 17th, from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Johns of the White Horse Christian Center officiating.  Burial will follow in the Tippecanoe Memory Gardens All Faith Gardens.
