Attica - Mary Ellen (Solomon) Rennick, 80, formerly of Kramer passed away in the Rose Walk Village in Lafayette on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 9:20 a.m.
Mary was born in Mechelen, Belgium on November 28, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Charles Marion and Maria Catharina Casimir (Rayhi) Solomon. Following WWII, Mary moved back to the United States and resided in Attica. She attended Attica High School. She later lived in Williamsport, Covington and more recently Lafayette.
Mary worked at Radio Material Corp in Attica for four years and later working at P & N Hirsch in Attica. She later worked in housekeeping and laundry at Country Care Nursing Center in Williamsport for seven years until working as a Home Healthcare Provider for five years and retired in 2010.
Mary was a member of the Attica-Williamsport Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed going to the pot holes in Warren County and was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post # 3318 of Attica. She liked to dance and crochet.
She enjoyed her time playing euchre with family and friends.
Mary leaves behind two children, Toni Rennick and Michelle (Larry) Lowery, both of Lafayette; a daughter-in-law, Nina Rennick, Williamsport; two brothers, Donald (Debbie) Solomon, Attica and Paul (Mary Kay) Solomon, West Lebanon; a sister, Jody Boyd, Baltimore, MD; a sister-in-law, Gwen Solomon, Veedersburg; four grandchildren, Erin (Daniel) Verhoeven; Trevor (Courtney) Rennick; Austin (Jocylen) Rennick and Caleb (Stahr) Rennick; eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Rennick; two brothers, David and Robert Solomon; a sister, Victoria Hillard along with her parents.
As per Mary's request, cremation services were accorded her and a private family memorial gravesite service will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica, next to her parents, at a later date.
