Michael Fellure, 73, passed away in his home in Lafayette on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024.

Mike was born in Lafayette in 1951 to Lloyd "Plunk" and Dora "Helen" Fellure and grew up in Fowler, Indiana.

Mike graduated from Benton Central High School in 1969. He served in the Indiana National Guard and worked for the Indiana State Highway, Essex Group and the Indiana Department of Transportation before working and retiring from the grounds department at Purdue University.

Mike enjoyed woodworking, fishing and playing cards with family and friends. He also enjoyed fish fries at the Legion and going to breakfast with friends and seeing friends at Silver Sneakers at the YMCA.

Mike was preceded in death by his companion of 42 years, Peggy (Turner) Whistler, grandson Brandon Smith and his mother and father. He leaves behind his son Jeff (April Diers) Fellure, Avon, IN; daughter Stacy (Drent) Sarault, Plainfield, IN; stepdaughter Nadra (Robert) Bolduc, Battle Ground, IN and eight grandchildren Kobie and Logan Fellure; Harrison and Crosby Sarault; Michelle (Ryan) Glover; Taya, Connor and Mason Bulduc; and great grandson Ian Glover.

Mike requested a graveside service to be held at his final resting place in Spring Vale Cemetery, Lafayette, on Friday, Oct. 18 at 10 am.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mike's name to the American Legion Post 11.
