Attica - Nancy Kay Karlson, 67, Attica, passed away at her residence with her family by her side on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 9:46 p.m.
Nancy was born in Williamsport, Indiana on September 14, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Arvel "Swede" and Elizabeth "Betty" Marie (Young) Karlson. She was a life resident of Attica and attended Attica High School.
Coming from a large family she began working at an early age waitressing at restaurants in the Attica area. Patrons remember her from the Red Barn, Hoosier, Crossroads, Attica Café and Short Stop restaurants in Attica and the Feed Mill in West Lebanon.
When Nancy wasn't waitressing she was enjoying the time spent with her family, especially the grand and great-grandchildren.
Nancy leaves behind her two sons, Michael (Amy Crain) Karlson, Veedersburg and Chad Karlson, Attica; three sisters, Linda (Roger) Bennett, Attica; Ruth (Marvin) Furr, Attica and Roxie Robertson, Rensselaer; seven grandchildren, Anthony Woody, Alyssa Karlson, Brittany Karlson, Stephanie Karlson, Bailey Haworth, Kelsey Crain, and Nicholas Crain; four great-grandchildren, Luke and Layton Haworth; Hadlee and Waylon Clarkston. Nancy was preceded by her six sisters, Mary Godby, Jean Million, Janice Hamblin, Betty Murray, Beverly Karlson, infant sister Bernice Karlson and a brother, Jerry Karlson.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, May 19th, from 5:00 p.m. until service time at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Harold Varner officiating. Following cremation, a private family burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
