Attica - Nancy Charlene Redman, 77, Attica, passed away in the Heritage Healthcare Center, West Lafayette, Indiana on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 4:30 a.m.
Nancy was born in Attica, Indiana on July 28, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Vera (Brimberry) Redman. She was raised in Attica and attended Attica High School. Nancy was a stay-at-home-mom. She spent time living in California, Joliet, IL and Hammond, IN, before moving back to Attica in 1995.
Nancy enjoyed bowling in her early years and bowled on several bowling leagues. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching birds and other wildlife from her front window. She enjoyed raising flowers and most of all enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She listened to the old country music with Kenny Rogers and Loretta Lynn as her favorite artists.
Nancy leaves behind her five children, Larry (Marsha) Sluder, Attica; Michael (Lavon) Chambers, Waynetown; Dana (Richard ) Woodrum, Veedersburg; Charles "Scooter" (companion-Kisa Merrill) Chambers, Attica and Autumn (Ryan) Wilson, Attica; a granddaughter, who was raised as a daughter in the home, Anna (Brock) Sempsrott, Crawfordsville; a sister, Patty Cole, Attica; grandchildren, Jennifer, Nina, Leah, Marissa, Cori, Codi, Casey, Charlena, Katrina, Morgyn, Ryne and Layne; thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Chambers;
a granddaughter, Katelyn Newell on July 5, 2022; three sisters, Carolyn Webb, Judy Wells, and Jean Pickett; two brothers, Larry Redman and Charles "Sonny" Redman; a childhood friend, Ruth Ann Faulkner and a special aunt and uncle, Ruby and Bob Redman.
A gravesite service for Nancy will be held on Saturday, October 29th at 1:00 p.m. in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica with Pastor Jerry Badgley officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Riley Children's Hospital. Condolences may be sent online at www.mausfuneralhome.com
