Hillsboro - Nola Jane (Pugh) Parker, 82, Hillsboro, passed away in her home, following a lengthy illness, on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 6:00 a.m.
Nola was born in Metcalf, Illinois on January 30, 1941.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Naomi (Bartlett) Pugh.  She was raised in Parke County, Indiana and graduated from Wallace School.
Nola worked at R.R. Donnelley in Crawfordsville for forty years until her retirement.
Nola enjoyed raising flowers and reading.
She was formerly married to Jack Parker, who preceded her in death in 2004.
Nola leaves behind her two daughters, Dana Parker (companion-Erik Freeman), Veedersburg and Deanna Parker, Waynetown; her boyfriend of 33 years, Tom Waldridge; nine sisters, Carla Knight, Metcalf, IL; Lorainne Cross, Kokomo, IN; Nancy Kinkead, Crawfordsville; Mary Jo Farley, Crawfordsville; Margaret (David) Peebles, Texas; Sue "Sue Belle" Thomas, Crawfordsville; Candy (Greg) Gray, Rockville; Donna Poole, New Mexico and Janet (Ron) Lehr, New Market; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Daniel Grimes; a brother, John Bartlett and two sisters, Beverly MacNorton and Madge Gill.
A celebration of Nola's life will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made in Nola's memory to the Paws 'n Claws Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 294, Attica, IN 47918.
