Pamela “Pam” Jean (Lister) Easter, 70, formerly of Williamsport, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, at the University of Louisville Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Pam was born in May 1956 to Wilma and Everett Lister and grew up in Williamsport, Indiana. She graduated from Seeger High School and, shortly after, married Roland Easter, beginning a life together filled with love, family, and adventure. Pam began her career caring for children with disabilities, a reflection of the compassion, patience, and kindness that came so naturally to her. After spending ten years working in several daycare centers, she followed her dream of opening a daycare of her own, which she lovingly operated for three years. Pam and Roland’s journey eventually took them to Hawaii, where they made their home for a time before returning to Indiana. Through every chapter of their lives and wherever their journey took them, Pam’s love for her family remained at the heart of everything she did. After returning to Indiana, Pam continued her career in public service, working for the Army Human Resources Command in Indianapolis before transferring to Fort Knox, Kentucky. She completed her career there and retired in 2018. At the time of her passing, Pam resided in Rineyville, Kentucky. Pam was a devoted mother to her son, Travis, and being his mom was one of the greatest joys of her life. Their bond remained strong throughout the years, and she was always proud of the man he became. She welcomed Misty into the family and loved her as a daughter. Later in life, Pam found another special joy in being a grandmother to Kai, who was not only her grandson but one of her closest companions. The two shared a special friendship filled with laughter, playful banter, and countless memories. She was his beloved Gram Gram, and he was her pride and joy. Pam was a beloved sister and best friend to Deb. She showed her what it means to love unconditionally. Outside of work and family, Pam found happiness in the simple things that made life special. She loved getting lost in a good book, tending to her garden, caring for animals, and sharing her love of Disney with the people she loved. She had a playful spirit, a wonderful sense of humor, and a way of making the people around her feel loved and accepted. Pam was the kind of person who gave her heart completely to her family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. To those closest to her, she was so much more than any words in an obituary could ever express. She was a source of comfort, laughter, unconditional love, and strength. Her loss leaves an emptiness that cannot be filled, but the love she gave and the memories she created will remain with her family forever. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. Survived by: Her husband, Roland Easter; son, Travis Easter (Misty Davis-Easter); grandson, Kai Easter; sister, Deb Bishir (Mike Bisher); and several special nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Tuesday, September 22nd from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Doug Knapp officiating.
