Madison, IN – Pamela "Pam" Elizabeth (Sexton) Fisher, 77 of Madison, IN and formerly of Ambia, IN, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Madison, as a result of a stroke on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 4:24pm.

Pam was born in Waukegan, IL on August 16, 1943. She was the daughter of late Ira and Irene (Chart) Sexton. She was raised in McHenry, IL and graduated from McHenry High School. She moved to Terre Haute with her first husband and children. Following her divorce in 1989, she married her true prince charming Lawrence "Larry" Fisher and they were married April 18, 1992.

While living in Terre Haute Pam worked as a housekeeper and then worked in the breakfast area at Drury Inn. Later, Larry and Pam made the move to rural Ambia, IN. She worked as assistant store manager at the Dollar General Store in Fowler. She made life long friends from the places she worked (both in Terre Haute and in Ambia).

Pam was avid reader and enjoyed shopping for bargains. She loved Barry Manilow and belonged to the Barry Manillow fan club. She loved to play Scrabble and card games with friends and family. She loved playing slot machines at the casino, and what she loved most of all was eating. She was always ready with a smile and a laugh, a joke or funny comment.

Pam leaves behind her husband, Larry of 30 years along with a daughter, Holly Pollard and her husband Cotton of Louisville, KY: her 5 grandchildren , Kyle and Jessica Armstrong, Brett Wanner, Gwendolyn and Allison Pollard; a sister, Sandy Conway of Oregon; a brother, John Sexton, of Wisconsin and a niece, Dawn Hall of Oregon. Pam was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Armstong.

A memorial gathering will be held in the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, IN on Thursday January 26th from 5:00 p.m. until service time at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.

Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Locust Grove Cemetery near Ambia. Condolences may be sent online to www.mausfuneralhome.com
