Crawfordsville - Patricia "Pat" Ann (Ehrie) Dixon, 88, Crawfordsville, passed away in the Franciscan Health East Hospital, Lafayette on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 4:21 a.m.
Pat was born near Mellott in Fountain County, Indiana on April 8, 1931. She was the daughter of the late John Wesley Ehrie and Anna (Wakeland) Ehrie. She was raised in the Mellott area and attended Mellott High School. She has resided in Crawfordsville for most of her adult life.
Pat worked as housekeeping director at Ben Hur Nursing Center in Crawfordsville for 33 years.
Family was important to Pat and it was the center of her life.
On October 25, 1947 Pat married William Clay Dixon Jr. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1996.
Pat leaves behind two sons, John (Peggy) Dixon, Crawfordsville and David Dixon, Wingate; four sisters, Judy (Dick) Harshbarger, Crawfordsville; Norma Kincaid, Crawfordsville; Shirley (Charlie) Keaton, Greensboro, NC and Martha (Sid) Shanks, Villa Grove, IL; two brothers, Jack (Eva) Ehrie, Lafayette and Billy Ehrie, Chula Vista, CA; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Robert (Marcheta) Dixon, Crawfordsville; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro on Saturday, December 28th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League, Home for Friendless Animals or the charity of one's choice.
