Veedersburg - Patty Ruth (Baldwin) Rasnic, 88, formerly of rural Veedersburg and had been residing in the St. Mary Healthcare Center in Lafayette, passed away in the St. Mary Healthcare Center on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 8:22 a.m.
Patty was born in Lawrence County, Indiana on December 27, 1935.  She was the daughter of the late William R. and Ruby R. (Price) Baldwin.  She was raised near Mitchell, Indiana, moving to rural Veedersburg in 1954.
Patty retired, working as a custodian for the Attica Consolidated School Corp. for 15 years in 1999.
Following her retirement, Patty took up repairing dolls for a hobby.  Before moving to the nursing center she had repaired over 1000 dolls.  She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
On May 29, 1954, Patty married William J. Rasnic in Mitchell, IN.
She leaves behind her husband, William of soon to be 70 years of marriage, along with three children, Kay (Dean) Thompson, Brookston, IN; Steve (Stephanie) Rasnic, Indianapolis and Janice (Bruce) Sigman, Montmorenci, IN; six grandchildren, Stephenie VanLeer, Kristen Remaklas, Jessica Ingram, David Rasnic, Zachary Sigman, Grace Sigman; 8 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert & Donald Baldwin along with two sisters, Catherine Thompson & Betty Edwards.
As per Patty's request, cremation services were accorded her and a private family gravesite service will be held at a later date in the Union Christian Cemetery, near Veedersburg, IN.
