Attica - Paul Phillipe Odore, 90, Attica, passed away in the I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 6:14 p.m.
Paul was born in Clinton, Indiana on June 9, 1934. He was the son of the late Frank and Yvonna Anna (Phillipe) Odore. He was raised in Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1952. Paul worked at ALCOA in Lafayette for 44 years retiring in 1996. Following his retirement he worked part time at the Bryant Car Dealership in Attica.
Paul was a former member, deacon and youth leader at the Attica Christian Church and more recently been attending the Williamsport Christian Church. He was active in the community, working with Habitat for Humanity. In his early years he coached little league baseball. He enjoyed reading his Bible, and fly fishing. But mostly of all, he enjoyed the time spent with his family. Paul had served in the Indiana National Guard and at the time of his honorable discharge he had attained the rank of Sergeant.
On June 12, 1954, Paul married Norma Etta Sipes in Williamsport, IN. Norma preceded him in death on January 2, 2012.
Paul leaves behind two children, Steve (Cheryl Cravins) Odore, Indianapolis and Connie (Mike) Greer, Attica; four grandchildren, Ryan (Amber) Nolan, Attica; Chrystal (James) Wilhelm, Attica; Devin (Elise) Odore, Noblesville, IN and Hallie (Logan Paul) Odore, Miami, FL; seven great-grandchildren, Logan Howard, Carson Hulet, Kendyl Nolan, Landon Hulet, Jaxson Nolan, Beckham Nolan and Lincoln Nolan; two great-great granddaughters, Chloe Odore and Oakley Culvahouse. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Paul Odore and a brother, Emile Odore.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, November 16th, from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jesse Stoner officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Judes Children Research Hospital or to the Williamsport Christian Church.
