Lafayette - Peggy Joann (Turner) Whistler, 79, Lafayette, passed away in the I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, on Monday, April 18, 2022 at 1:10 p.m.
Peggy was born in Lafayette, Indiana on December 20, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Billy Fay Rolan and Dorothy (Jaynes) Turner and was raised by her step-father, Leonard Turner. Peggy was a 1960 graduate of Pine Village High School and has lived most of her life in Lafayette.
Peggy was a secretary for the Area IV Council on Aging in Lafayette, retiring after 30 years of service.
Peggy enjoyed cooking and reading along with watching movies. She liked to play cards and enjoyed her family and visiting with friends.
Peggy leaves behind her companion of 42 years, Mike Fellure of Lafayette; her daughter, Nadra (Robert) Bolduc, Battle Ground; two step- children, Jeff Fellure, Avon and Stacy (Drent) Sarault, Plainfield; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Ryan) Glover, Brookston; Kobie Fellure and Logan Fellure both of Plainfield; Harrison Sarault and Crosby Sarault, both of Plainfield; Taya Bolduc, Kalamazoo, MI; Connor Bolduc and Mason Bolduc, both of Lafayette; a great-grandson, Ian Glover, Brookston; a brother, David Rolan, Valparaiso. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Smith along with her parents and step-father.
As per Peggy's request, cremation services will be accorded her and a memorial gravesite service will be held  in the Spring Vale Cemetery, Lafayette on Saturday, April 30th at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brenda McIntosh officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Peggy's memory to the charity of one's choice.
