Covington - James Ralph Davis, 74, Covington, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 5:37 p.m.
Ralph, as he was known to family and friends, was born in New Castle, IN on December 20 1945. He was the son of the late James Robert and Ova (Massengale) Davis. He has resided in Veedersburg and Covington and spent several winters in Okeechobee, FL.
Ralph formerly operated a tree trimming service along with being a mechanic and operating his own garage. He later was a member of the Operating Engineers Local # 841 working as a heavy equipment operator.
Ralph was a member of the Teamsters Union; Moose Lodge in Okeechobee, FL; V.F.W. Auxiliary in Florida. As far as hobbies, Ralph enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Ralph was first married to Audrey Gregory in Campbell, TN, in 1964. They divorced and she preceded him in death in 1991. He later married Lorena Randolph on May 27, 1999 in Covington.
He leaves behind his former wife, Lorena Davis of Veedersburg; two sons, Brian (Daniella) Davis, Veedersburg and David (Mary Beth) Davis, Fowler; two daughters, Jackie Davis (companion-Jake Ellett) Penfield, IL and Pam (Robert) Price, Kingman; a brother, Gene (Reva) Davis, Harrison, AR; seventeen grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Michael Davis on July 17, 2018; a great-granddaughter, Brianna Kay Spear;  two sisters, Shirley Clevenger and Irene Wright; six brothers, Ross, Leroy, C.T., Ira, Hubert and Carl Davis.
As per Ralph's request he has selected cremation with no services to the public.
