Otterbein - Randall "Randy" Marton Ray, 78, of rural Otterbein, died at 3:17 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport.
Randy was born on April 17, 1944 in Harlan, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Walter and Armenia Ray. He grew up in Harlan, KY until he was ten, then the family moved first to Ohio and then to the Pine Village area. He had served in the US Nave from 1964-1968. He worked at Fairfield Manufacturing in Lafayette as a machinist and later as a supervisor.
Randy attended the Harvest Chapel Church in Williamsport. He was a mentor to young people and had coached Little League Baseball for several years. He loved to spend time in his garden and was a big fan of John Deere mowers.
Randy married Rita Mae Brummet on July 4, 1972 in Lafayette. She survives along with their four sons, Curtis Ray of Attica, Dwayne Ray of Lafayette, Chad (Ashley) Ray of Attica, & Clint (Amanda) Ray of West Point; Daughter-in-law, Kelly Ray; nine grandchildren, Justin, Nick, Patrick, Makaylie, Daniel, Ashley, Ethan, Jacob & Gracianna; and three sisters, Geraldine Brovant and Betty Sundquist, both of Otterbein and Irene Booth, South Carolina. He was also preceded in death by eight siblings, Pearl, Fred, Ambrose, Arnold, Otis, Cecil, Edgar and Goldie.
Visitation will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Monday, July 25, from 4:00 p.m. until the service time of 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Greg Tyra officiating and Military Services to follow. Contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
