Attica - Reno Carl Crumrin, 81, Attica, passed away in the Franciscan Health East Hospital, Lafayette, on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 2:37 a.m.
Reno was born in Champaign, Illinois, on May 20, 1938. He was the son of the late Chester Franklin and Ada Eudora (Creekmur) Crumrin. He graduated from Covington High School in 1956. He grew up and lived in Shawnee Township in Fountain County for many years and moved to Attica in 2002.
Reno served in the U.S. Army and at the time of his honorable discharge had attained the rank of P.F.C.
After the service, Reno worked at Olin's in Covington until his retirement in 1997.
Reno was a member of the Fountain Lodge # 60 F. & A.M. He was a member of the Zorah Shrine Valley of Terre Haute. In his past time, Reno enjoyed playing cards and tending to his cattle, horses, dogs and cats.
On June 5, 1964, Reno married Betty J. Ipock in the First Baptist Church in Covington, IN.
He leaves behind his wife, Betty of 55 years along with a daughter, Debra (Doug) Conkright, New Concord, KY; a brother, Edward (Patricia) Crumrin, Veedersburg; two grandchildren, Kimberly Marie (Oscar) Hernandez-Conkright and Nicole Annette (José) Gonzalez-Conkright, both of Murray, KY; four great-grandchildren, Joel, James, John and Aria.
Per Reno's request, there will be no public services.
