Portland Arch - Ricky "Rick" Leo Clevenger, 64, Portland Arch, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. following his failing health with lung cancer.
Rick was born in Rock Island, Illinois on September 15, 1958. He was the son of Euna Mildred (Graham) Clevenger of Hillsboro and the late William Floyd Clevenger. Rick was raised in Attica and received his GED from Attica High School. He has resided in Portland Arch for the past 30 years.
Rick formerly worked as a coordinator at Wabash National in Lafayette for 30 years.
Rick enjoyed bowling and bowled on several leagues at Shawnee Lanes. He enjoyed riding his Gold Wing motorcycle and recently purchased a three-wheeler motorcycle to tool around on. He loved his family and enjoyed harassing his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing country music on his guitar and his favorite artist was Hank Williams Sr.
On January 26, 1978 Rick married Teresa G. Taylor at her home in Attica.
Rick leaves behind his wife Teresa, of nearly 45 years along with two daughters, Chasity Clevenger, Houston, TX and Wendy Clevenger, Portland Arch; two sons, Jeremie Clevenger, Portland Arch and Justin (companion-Alexis Wrightsman) Clevenger, Williamsport; 11 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, a great-granddaughter and a great-grandson; his mother, Mildred Clevenger, Hillsboro; two brothers, John D. (Donna) Clevenger, Veedersburg and R. Kevin (Cindy) Clevenger, Attica; a daughter-in-law, Amber Clevenger, Covington. He was preceded in death by a son, Jason Leo Clevenger; two grandsons; his father, William Clevenger and a brother, Marty J. Clevenger.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Friday, December 30th, from 5:00 p.m. until the service time at 8:00 p.m. with his brother-in-law, Robert Stonebraker speaking. Burial will be held at a later date in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Contributions may be made to the family for expenses.
