Williamsport - Robert Carl Brown, 82, Williamsport, passed away in the Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, IN on Thursday, January 8, 2026 ay 6:56 a.m.
Robert was born in the Community Hospital, Williamsport, IN, on March 3, 1943.  He was the son of the late Clarence Isaac and Estele Marie "Susie" (Mottier) Brown.  Robert was raised in the Judyville area of Warren County and spent most of his adult life in Williamsport.  Robert graduated from Seeger High School in 1961 when he began farming with his father and pursued carpentry with Leonard Ducker.  From 1963 -1967 Robert served the United States Marine Corps attending Basic Training at  MCRD San Diego and Infantry Training at Camp Pendleton, California. He was stationed Marine Base Albany, GA and Camp Courtney, Japan prior to serving  two combat tours in Vietnam. When he received an  Honorable Discharge in 1967 he had attained the rank of Corporal.  He was very proud of his service with the Marine Corps and all the veterans who served in the military.
Following his military discharge he returned to farming with his father until 1985 when he began working at  Demeter Elevators in Hoopeston, IL and Tab, IN as the Outside Manager. He later went to work  as manager for Stewart Grain Elevators in West Lebanon, Marshfield and Stewart until his retirement in 2015.  Following retirement he remained active working for Tom & Matt Hetrick where he helped in the planting and harvesting of crops.
Robert was a member of the Tab Christian Church.  He enjoyed being outside working in his flower garden and also decorating his yard for the Christmas season.  You could always find Bob at the Warren County 4-H grounds where he served on the Warren County Fair Board as President and Swine Superintendent.
Bob was a 10 year member of the 4-H Club, a member of the local VFW and the Eagles Fraternal Order. His pride and joy was his family and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On March 31, 1967, Robert married Pamela S. Peterson in Honolulu, Hawaii.  They spent 58 years together.  He also leaves behind  two children, Kevin (Yuko) Brown, Summerville, SC and Katrina (Greg) Albertson, Pine Village; six grandchildren, Bailey (Kyle) Killin, Theran (Kaleigh Houle) Armes, Midori Brown, Olivia (Austin) Minick, Tyler (Karsyn) Albertson and Hunter Albertson; four great-grandchildren, Easton, Gracie, Michael and Magnolia; a Sister, Charlotte (Bud) Vibbert, Williamsport.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Sunday, January 11th from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January12th at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Brenda McIntosh officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow in the West Lebanon Cemetery, West Lebanon, IN.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Warren County 4-H Fair Board - Swine Committee c/o Warren County Community Foundation, 31 N.
