Attica - Robert "Rob" "Robbie" James Blankenship, 38, of the Riverside community near Attica, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his home in Riverside on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 5:11 a.m.
Rob was born in Home Hospital, Lafayette, on March 25, 1987.  He was the son of Lynn Jesse Blankenship of Riverside and Rebecca "Becky" Ann (Butler) Benner of Fowler.  Rob was a life resident of the Riverside community and graduated from Attica High School in 2005.  Rob was presently working at the Caterpillar Plant in Lafayette as a quality technician.  He had been with Caterpillar for the past 17 years.
As a youth, Rob attended the Riverview United Methodist Church in Independence and more recently periodically attended the Wabash Valley Bible Baptist Church near Attica with his brother, Ed.  During this time he had dedicated his life to the Lord.  Those who knew Rob, knew of his fondness for the outdoors and his enjoyment in hunting, fishing, trapping and mushrooming.  He was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Indiana Trapping Association.  He loved his family and was active in the local 4-H swine program with his nieces and nephews.
Rob leaves behind his father, Lynn Blankenship of Riverside; his mother and step-father, Becky and Dennis Benner, Fowler; a brother, Ed (Candace) Blankenship, Attica; his companion, Megan Irwin, Attica; his half-sister, Kristen Benner, Fowler;  his three nieces, Cecelia Blankenship, Maevery Blankenship and Lillian Irwin; his three nephews, Warren Blankenship, Mason Irwin and Dalton Irwin.  He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Daniel Blankenship and his grandparents, Ed & Waneta Blankenship; Imogene (Kirkpatrick) & Roland Butler.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Friday, June 20th, from 5:00 p.m. until the service time at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor David Adams officiating.  Friends are encouraged to come dressed in camouflage or casual attire.  Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to either the Fountain County Swine Barn or the Warren County Swine Barn.
