Rob Roy - Rolland "Sarge" Lorraine Wilderman, 88, formerly of Rob Roy and had been residing with his son in Attica, passed away at the home of his son, with his family by his side, on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 1:15 p.m.
Rolland was born in Greenville, Illinois on December 8, 1933. He was the son of the late Ralph Orlando and Tevilla I. (Parrish) Wilderman. Rolland was raised in Montezuma and attended Montezuma High School. He has resided in Rob Roy since 1987 and later moved to Elkhart, IN. Following his second wife's passing he moved into Attica to be with family.
Rolland formerly worked as a lubricating engineer with Harrison Steel Castings Company for 37 years until his retirement in 1996.
Rolland served in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. At the time of his honorable discharge he had attained the rank of Sergeant (T).
Rolland attended the Church of the Living Waters near West Lebanon. He enjoyed wood working and raising a vegetable and flower garden.
Rolland was first married to Virginia R. Knudsen on February 2, 1955 in Verona, PA. Virginia preceded him in death on March 1, 1986. On October 13, 1987 Rolland married Eva Jo (Edwards) Duncan in Attica. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2020.
Rolland leaves behind two sons, Mark A. Wilderman, and Clifford E. (Carol) Wilderman, both of Attica; a sister, Mary A. (Paul) Masenheimer, Jr., Abbotts Town, PA; a brother, Melvin Wilderman, Montezuma; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Winko and Betty Lowe along with a grandson, Seth Buchanan.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Tuesday, October 4th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Don Green officiating.  Burial with military honors will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
