West Lebanon - Ronald "Ron"  Lynn Moody, 85, West Lebanon, passed away unexpectedly in the emergency room of the Ascension St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 8:45 p.m.
Ron was born in Kingman, Indiana on August 29, 1939.  He was the son of the late Edward and Ruth (Allen) Moody.  Ron was raised in Kingman, attending Kingman school.  He has lived in West Lebanon most of his adult life.
Ron worked at Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica for 46 years.  He worked on the jolt machine and later transferred to the pattern shop of Harrison Steel at the time of his retirement in 2006.
Ron was a member of the West Lebanon Christian Church.  He was an avid card player and enjoyed playing bridge.  In his early years he enjoyed playing golf at Harrison Hills Country Club.  He enjoyed taking his son, Brock to the Seeger basketball games and  enjoyed watching Purdue women's basketball when Stephanie White played for the Boilermakers.
On July 27, 1968, Ron married Maxine Taylor in Kingman, IN.  Maxine preceded Ron in death on August 13, 2007.
Ron leaves behind a son, Brian (Lauren) Moody, Lafayette; two daughters, Sandra Moody, Danville, IL and Ruth Moody, Rolla, MO; eight grandchildren, Ariel, Tiffany, Courtney, Eric, Ryan, Brock, Dylan and Katie; four great-grandchildren; a brother Allen Moody, Kingman and a sister, Sandra (Don) Lightle, Waynetown.  Ron was preceded in death by a son, Brock Moody; a daughter, Lyrea Moody; a grandson, Earon; four brothers, Marlin Moody, Gene Moody, Wayne Moody and James Moody.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Wednesday, April 9th, from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Thornsbrough officiating.  Burial will follow in the West Lebanon Cemetery, West Lebanon, IN.
