Crawfordsville - Roy Daniel "Danny" Ruffner, 71, formerly of Crawfordsville and had been residing in West Lafayette, passed away in the I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 2:02 a.m.
Danny, as he was known to family and friends, was born in Smartsburg, in Montgomery County, Indiana on July 7, 1951.  He was the son of the late Ralph James and Edith (Watt) Ruffner. Danny was raised in the Linden and Crawfordsville area.  He resided in Crawfordsville most of his life until his recent move to West Lafayette.
Danny spent most of his time working in lawn service.
He enjoyed fishing and working in the yard.  He especially enjoyed the time spent visiting with family.
On December 7, 1999, Danny married Diana L. Mitchell in Montgomery County, IN.
He leaves behind his wife, Diana of 23 years and she resides in West Lafayette.  He also leaves behind his twin daughters, Shelley and Kelley; two sisters, Dorothy (Taz Taflinger) Buckley, Lafayette and Cheryl Ruffner, Georgetown, IL; a sister-in-law, Sandy Loveless, Lafayette; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Loveless and Ralph James Ruffner Jr. along with a sister, Rachel Elizabeth Ruffner.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, May 18th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rich Buckley officiating.   Burial will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown, IN.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Maus Funeral Home to help offset funeral costs.
