West Point - Sandra "Sandy" Sue (Anderson) Snider, 80, formerly of West Point and had been residing in Lafayette, passed from complications of COVID on Sunday, August 1, 2021 in the I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette.
Sandy, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Lafayette, Indiana on June 8, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Harold Anderson and Geraldine (Layton) Anderson Delaney. Sandy was raised in Battle Ground, graduating from Battle Ground High School in 1959.
Sandy married Raymond Harold Snider on February 4, 1961 in Lawton, OK.
Sandy and Harold moved to West Point and resided there for 21 years. They later moved up on Lake Freeman in Monticello and lived there until moving to Lafayette in 1994.
Sandy was attending the West Point United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling to the casinos and shopping . Her greatest enjoyment was the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sandy leaves behind her husband, Harold of 60 years along with two sons, Rick (Lisa) Snider and Randy (Kay) Snider, both of West Point; a sister, Vickie (Greg) Carter, Elberfeld, IN; five grandchildren, Cody Snider, Drew (Wendy) Snider, Lindsay Snider, Cole Snider and Kaylee Snider; two great-grandchildren, Marshall and Finley Snider. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffery Snider along with a brother, Otis Anderson.
Friends may call at the West Point United Methodist Church, West Point, IN on Thursday, August 5th from 4:00 p.m. until service time at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Russ Alley officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date in the West Point Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Point United Methodist Church or the West Point Volunteer Fire Department. All people attending the services are asked to wear masks for the protection of the family.
