Attica - Sarah Love (Bagwell) McDaniel, 96, formerly of Attica and had been residing in Lafayette, passed away in the Cumberland Pointe Healthcare Center, West Lafayette on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.
Sarah was born in Cramerton, North Carolina on January 10, 1927.  She was the daughter of the late Hoke Demorest and Lillian Eunice (Halcombe) Bagwell.  She was raised in Cramerton, NC, later moving to Belmont, NC, where she graduated from Belmont High School in 1945.  She had resided in Paris, IL for 12 years before moving to Attica in 1958.
Sarah formerly worked at Radio Material Corp. in Attica for 26 years, retiring in 1993.  She then began working in the Food Service Department in Tarkington Hall at Purdue University.  She later retired from Purdue University.
Sarah was a member of the Attica Christian Church.  She enjoyed square dancing for 30 years and enjoyed camping in her camper with her family.
On July 28, 1946, Sarah married Wendell McDaniel in Paris, IL.  He preceded in death on February 20, 2004.
Sarah leaves behind a daughter, Marsha S. (Lee) Schmid, West Lafayette; two grandchildren, Dustin (Ami) McDaniel and Ashley (Tony) Wilkerson; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler McDaniel, Naomi McDaniel, Caitlyn McDaniel, Faith McDaniel, Jacob Marcov, Sam Wilkerson and Jerica Wilkerson.  She was preceded in death by a son, Hugh McDaniel; a grandson, Noah McDaniel; a brother, Charles Bagwell and a sister, Virginia Hittner.
Friends may call at the Attica Christian Church, 411 E. Sycamore St., Attica, on Monday, October 9th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain Rich Stoll and Pastor Hunter Chadwell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica Public Library or the Attica Christian Church.
