Covington - Sharon Lynn (Howe) Duncan, 75, formerly of Perrysville and had been residing in Covington, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 at 4:51 p.m. in The Waters of Covington.
Lynn, as she was known to family and friends,  was born in Danville, Illinois on November 11, 1948.  She was the daughter of the late Norman Paul and Nellie Mae (Rosnett) Howe.  Lynn was raised in Georgetown, Illinois and attended Georgetown High School.  She lived in Perrysville for several years before moving to Nebraska and residing there for 22 years.  She just recently moved back to Linden, IN to be near her family.
While living in Nebraska, Lynn worked for Deeter Foundry in Lincoln, NE.  She worked as a lab technician for Deeter Foundry until her retirement.
In her pastime she enjoyed raising and riding horses.  She loved her family and enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren.
Lynn leaves behind two daughters, Teresa (Mike) Sims, Linden, IN and Paula (Dustin) West, Clinton, IN; six grandchildren, Cameron (Sydne) Sims, Kalynn West, Haley West, Shelby Sims, Brianna West and Clayton Sims; two great grandchildren, Lettie Marie West and Ezekiel Joseph Sims and a great grandchild on the way; two brothers, Gary (Patricia) Howe, Georgetown, IL; Stephen (Tammy) Howe, Tennessee; a sister, Cathy Krostal, Bloomington, IL.
A gathering for family and friends will be held at the Christian Union Church, 1974 E. 1550 N. Covington on Friday, July 19th, from 5:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Life Services at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Tony DeMoss officiating.  Inurnment will be in the Coal Creek Cemetery south of Covington.
