Lafayette - Sharon Kay Gallien, 76, Lafayette, passed away in the I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 10:34 p.m.
Sharon was born in Lafayette, Indiana on April 22, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Olvilia "Pete" and Goldie Pearl (Luse) Gallien. Sharon was raised in Flora and attended Flora High School. She later moved to Brookston and lived there until moving to Lafayette two years ago.
Sharon formerly worked at the Warren Paper in Lafayette until her retirement.
Sharon enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia. She liked to work in her yard and was always up for a Harley ride with her son-in-law.
Sharon leaves behind three daughters, Kristina (Chris) Black, Lafayette; Ann of Hartford City, IN and Andrea Sparger, Buck Creek; three sons, twins Shawn (Jessica) Sparger, Greenwood, IN and Shane (Janet) Sparger, Delphi; Mike (Bev) Sparger, Lafayette; two sisters, Geneva Gallien, and Judy Spence, both of Lafayette; a brother, Earl (Cheryl) Gallien, Clarks Hill; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A gravesite service will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica, on Wednesday, September 9th, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Darlene DeHaai officiating.
