Attica - Sharon Lee (Cheesman) Haas, 73, formerly of Attica, passed away in the Accolade Healthcare Center, Danville, IL on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 7:50 a.m.
Sharon was born in the Home Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana on February 21, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Wesley C. Cheesman and Phyllis M. (Watkins) Cheesman Kirby. She has resided in Attica since the age of 13. She attended Attica High School.
Sharon worked as a CNA/QNA with the Williamsport Nursing Center and later as a guard on the gate at Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica. She retired due to ill health from Harrison Steel.
Sharon was raised and baptized in the Nazarene Church. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader. She enjoyed working word search puzzles.
She leaves behind two sons, Michael S. Haas and E.J. Haas, both of Colorado; a daughter, Sheryl L. Shield, Muncie, IN; three sisters, Deb Smith, Williamsport; Thelma Pettit, Covington; Janet (Mark) Adams, Claremont, FL; a brother, Michael Cheesman, Covington; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Ronnie, Wesley and Byron Cheesman along with a niece, Summer Starr Cheesman.
As per her request, cremation services will be accorded and a memorial gravesite service will be held in the Spring of 2021 in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
