Independence - Shaun Michael Voigt, 40, of rural Independence, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 8:21 p.m. from a massive heart attack.
Shaun was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on July 19, 1982. He was the son of Thomas Mark Voigt of Lafayette and Sharron Eileen (Carver) and Dennis Englert of Lebanon. Shaun was raised in Veedersburg and attended Fountain Central High School. He has resided in rural Independence for the past 6 years.
Shaun was presently employed with Fedex Freight. He had attended the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Attica. He was an avid guitar player and enjoyed performing with his band, "Braided Discourse". He loved his family dearly and enjoyed being in their lives. He enjoyed studying different types of theology.
On December 29, 2006, Shaun married Veronica Amelia Guerra in Lafayette.
He leaves behind his wife, Veronica of soon to be 16 years. Also his five children, Kayla Voigt, Ethan Voigt, Ian Voigt, Melany Voigt and Skyler Voigt; his mother and step father, Sharron and Dennis Englert, Lebanon, IN; his father, Thomas Voigt, Lafayette; two sisters, Anna (Ryan) Dittenhoefer, Lafayette and Briana Lynn Voigt, Minnesota.
Friends may come to the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, August 20th, from 3:00 p.m. until service time at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. David Rasner officiating. A rosary service will be recited at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
