Attica - Sheenia Renee (Wells) Griffith, 72, Attica, passed away unexpectedly in the emergency room of the I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 10:52 a.m.
Sheenia was born in Hyden, Kentucky on May 12, 1950.  She was the daughter of the late Felix K. and Ada (Hensley) Wells.  Sheenia was raised in Hyden and graduated from Leslie County High School.  She later attended nursing school in Hazard, KY.  She moved to Lafayette in 1968 and later relocated to Attica in 1997.
Sheenia enjoyed working with ceramics and the time spent on her golf cart riding around her property. She especially enjoyed the time with her family and friends.
On October 19, 1968, Sheenia married Elbert Griffith in Hyden, KY.
Sheenia leaves behind her husband, Elbert of 54 years along with two sons, Elbert (Rebecca) Griffith  Jr., Romney and James A. (fiancée-Tina Dyer) Griffith, Lafayette; four grandchildren, Shawn (Sonya) Griffith, Ohio; McKala (T.J.) Ogle, Peru, IN; James T. Griffith and Alicyn K. Griffith, both of Attica; a great-grandson, Wyatt and a great-granddaughter, Aubree; First Cousins, Helen McKinney, London, KY and Wayne Wells, Advance, IN.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Taylor Wells along with two sisters, Fern Adams and Patricia Griffith.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, April 29th, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
