Attica - Stevie Joe Budd, 69, Attica, passed away in the Franciscan Health East Hospital, Lafayette, on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 3:45 p.m.
Joe, as the family and friends would call him, was born in the Community Hospital in Williamsport on November 12, 1954.  He was the son of the late Joseph Harold and Marjorie Lucille (Redman) Budd.  He was raised in Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1978.  He formerly lived in Terre Haute and Lafayette before returning to Attica.
Joe formerly worked for the Indiana State Highway Department and later for the Shawnee Learning Center.
Joe entered the Indiana National Guard and served 22 years in the National Guard.  He retired with the rank of Specialist.  He was a former member of the Eagles Lodge of Terre Haute.  He enjoyed working puzzle books, playing yahtzee and playing UNO.  He enjoyed riding his bike and loved animals.
On May 16, 2000, Joe married Tracy Elaine Christenberry by Judge Mark Mason in Attica.
Joe leaves behind his wife, Tracy of 24 years along with two brothers, John Alton Budd, Williamsport and Edward (Deborah Hale) Deardorff, Indianapolis.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Monday, August 19th, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor David Adams officiating.  Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
